| You are currently one of the main founders of the American Movement Magazine, soon to be launched nation wide this Spring. What kind of impact do you hope your American BodyBoarding Magazine will have on the United States BodyBoarding community? I hope it will help unify bodyboarding as a sport, and help influence and stoke out a lot of people who like to read about the sport they love so much. Being an a elite bodyboarder on the IBA tour, how does it feel to represent your country? Great, I wish more riders from the US were on tour and did it with me, it gets lonely out there. If you can remember the first time you picked up a bodyboard an caught your first wave, how was that feeling you experienced ? I remember that my friends were getting barreled, and I did not know what that meant. . What inspired you to work hard to get to where you are today? My upbringing with my family and friends. Who are the major inspirations in your life, and how do they motivate you to stay your best? God, my wife, my family, and peers. They all helped me to push myself to be as good as I can, and to enjoy what I have. What body boarding event where you the most nervous competing in? My first one, I had no idea how it worked. I some how won it, and I was stoked. What was the happiest moment of your bodyboarding career? Winning the pipe contest for sure. Jeff, what would you like to accomplish in bodyboarding before your competing days are done years down the road? I would like to win a world title, and try to bring the body boarding excitement to the masses. If you could be remembered for one thing in bodyboarding history, what would it be? My love for the sport. How would you feel if body boarding was nominated for an X Games event? It really should be an X Games event. I have been thinking about how for a while, and have some sick ideas for it. It is all about who you know. I am waiting to approach the right people with the concept. Renato Scarpatti Asked “Describe the best ride you ever had, and how can we get air like you do?” My first in and out barrel was insane, a ride I still remember to this day. Air is all about speed and timing with contact to the lip. Brett From Australia Asked “When have you been scared the most while BodyBoarding?” When I thought sharks were about to eat me. I let my mind go and freaked out, not good. The Best advice I can give is not to panic. I would like to personally thank Jeff Hubbard for this interview, I realize this is a awesome opportunity and I greatly appreciate it. Jeff is a real awesome guy, and he should make you proud to be a member of the bodyboarding community. What he stands for and believes in will push this sport beyond comprehension. I canít wait to pick up the first issue of Movement Magazine USA EDITION, because this magazine is the real deal. It is ran by great people, they are working 24/7 on this. I would just like to thank Jeff once again for taking time out of his busy schedule to do this interview. Jeff bring back the IBA World Title to the United States, you have the whole United States BodyBoarding Community behind you while you are out competing.
